Lord of the Rings is one of Stern's most popular pinball machines they
have produced. In fact they have made several runs since its first
release in 2003. All three movies are represented in the game with
authentic speech, sound and music. The playfield and cabinet
artwork are bright, rich and faithful to the movies and immediately
draws the player in. Lord of the Rings is fun for all ages
but also challenges serious players with its extremely deep rule set.
A few quick high lights on the playfield are moving Balrog with built-in
flashlamp, blocks center ramp at times. Tower that "collapses" on
certain scoring features. Mini-playfield that encourages nudging.
Center ring the catches and holds pinball's during play.
